Chornobyl Problem in the International Focus

The accident at the fourth power-generating unit of the Chornobyl nuclear power station became one of the biggest catastrophes in the human history. It had impact on the destinies of millions of people. New social and economic terms which led to cardinal changes in life have appeared in many regions of the country. Ukraine was declared as the area of environmental disaster.

After the Chornobyl disaster in the former Soviet Union and later in the territory of newly independent states Ukraine, Russia and Belarus there were adopted the number of legislative acts and documents. The number of these documents grows proportionally to the arising of new social, economic, political, ecological and other problems.
