Every Country Protects Its Market

Under the conditions of foreign economic activity liberalization the implementation of such non-tariff method as a necessary certification gives the opportunity to restrict the access to the national market of foreign goods, which because of their bad quality can be sold at almost dumping price and cause damage to both consumers and producers. Foreign countries, demanding free access of their goods to the Ukrainian market, do not permit foreign goods to their market and by this they protect their producers. The countries of the EU used the WTO Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade in the situation which appeared with the export of sunflower oil and demanded the certification of its every shipment. Republic of Moldova, being the member of the WTO, used this right in 2009.
