"I am afraid of those people who every time want to rewrite the Constitution of Ukraine"

- the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Lytvyn said, being at the business trip in Ternopil region

At the Ivan Pulyui Technical University Volodymyr Lytvyn met with students and teachers. All seats were occupied in the assembly hall as everyone was interested in the ways to overcome the crisis which the respected guest spoke about.

— Today I’m here as your colleague, because except the position of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada I haven’t given up the work at the Kyiv University and I still head the department. I want to outline the challenges which have appeared in the world. Because exactly you, young people, will create the future. The world is experiencing the crisis, which has never had any analogues. Consequently it is difficult to model the scenario of how to overcome it. It is acknowledged by meetings with the greatest public servants in Denmark, Brussels, Russia. Presently such phenomena as the tendency to isolationism and protectionism are traced, and it testifies that every country tries to isolate within the national scopes and to solve the problem on its own, which is unproductive. And meantime the world is globalizing. One of the ways to overcome the crisis will be the obtrusion of power politics: the clearly defined powerhouses will try to dictate their terms to the world. Under such conditions it’s very important for Ukraine not to find itself at the cross-roads and not to suffer from the collision of global players. The world is becoming multipolar. It’s clear that Ukraine will not be able to play a part of a global leader. So the question about what global player Ukraine will support is of current importance. We have to conceive this crisis.
